Go Big or Go Home Question: What's On the Inside?

"I cannot always control what goes on outside. But I can always control what goes on inside." Wayne Dyer

Isn't it great to have the power to choose your thoughts, feelings, and actions? You even get to choose how you wish to show up each day. Do you wish to show up as a peaceful person? A happy person?

Your Go Big or Go Home Question is, what do you choose to go on inside of you?

The time is now to make those conscious choices. Choose the good stuff whenever possible; it's the only way to fly.

Go Big or Go Home Question: Embrace the Change

When you hear or see the word "change" what comes to mind for you?

Growth? Expansion? Different direction? Adjustment? Transition?

With change sometimes comes fear and a feeling of being disconnected; fear of the unknown and a disconnection from the past and what we're comfortable with. So this week's Go Big or Go Home Question(s) is during times of change what can you do to feel connected? What will help you to combat the fear?

Now is the perfect time to create a toolbox filled with tools that will support you in embracing change. Fill it full and have fun trying a few things on for size during those times of change.

Go Big or Go Home Question: What Takes Your Breath Away?

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" - Anonymous

Life is truly a smoorgasboard filled with moments that take our breath away, big and small. As a matter of fact, I can think of a few off the top of my head that have left me breathless:

1) My first love.
2) The birth of my son.
3) A recent acknowledgment from a dear friend and respected colleague.
4) The ahas I had this past weekend.

This Go Big or Go Home Question is actually a two parter; 1) What moments have left you breathless? Capture as many as you can and have fun enjoying the feelings associated with those moments. AND
2) What moments will you create that will surely take your breath away?

Here's to being breathless! Have fun!

P.S. Many thanks to all my wonderful readers and friends for promoting the free e-course Getting Your Groove On; 10 Kick Ass Ways to Supercharge Your Life. The response has been overwhelming and I am truly grateful.

Go Big or Go Home Question: Reflection And/Or Resolution?

A New Year is fast approaching and with the New Year often comes renewed faith in set intentions and resolutions. In addition, I have found that the New Year is often time for reflection and taking stock in goals achieved and lessons learned. With that said, wonderful readers, I would like to close out 2008 with not one, but a few Go Big or Go Home Questions in preparation for 2009.

1) What's one lesson learned in 2008 that you are truly grateful for?
2) What's one lesson you hope to learn, if not master, in 2009?
3) How did you add value in 2008 to your own life and the lives of others?
4) How will you add value in 2009 to your own life and to the lives of others?

It is my wish that 2009 be your greatest year ever. May it bring lots of love, good health, positive prosperity, and fun your way!! Happy New Year, Everyone and thank you for your continued support!!

Go Big or Go Home Question: Ask and You Shall Receive

Today I watched this wonderful video of Esther and Abraham Hicks regarding finances and Wall Street. Something that Abraham said (via Esther) hit me like a ton of bricks, "Strong asking and a little allowing goes a long way."

I'm not going to say much more, as I don't wish to ruin it, however, I'm going to encourage you to watch this short little video and then think about the following Go Big Go Home Question;

What will you strongly ask for?

After you have asked let go of whatever it is you asked for, having faith that it is meant to be yours. Your job is to remain as present (in the here and the now) as possible, open to any suggestions regarding actions to take in order to bring what you want to fruition.

Happy asking and allowing!!

Go Big or Go Home Question: Embrace Your Inner Goofball

(Many thanks to my friend Michelle, not just because she is a fellow goofball, but because she inspired me to write this. )

I am sure you have all heard the phrases, "Life is too short" and "Live a little". Those are phrases I am all too familar with, as I have been accused of (and rightfully so) of being far too serious. As a matter of fact, my best friend recently said to someone else, "I have helped Pam to loosen up." You know, I didn't realize I was uptight until I participated in some good ol' fashion reflection. Yes, I will admit it, I used to be a little too serious, a little too analytical, a little too tightly wound; "used to be" being the operative phrase.

What I have found, it is a-ok (more than a-ok, actually) to embrace my inner goofball, to cut loose and have some fun! The world does not stop rotating on it's axis when I make funny faces. The men in white jackets have not come to cart me away to a padded cell when I crank up my music and dance around the house. (What usually happens is my son starts to laugh and shake his head, but I can deal with that.) You wanna know what really happens when I get silly with my bad self?

I laugh more.
I don't get as stressed.
I certainly don't sweat the small stuff.
I have more fun.
I attract more of the good stuff.

So, my friends, the Go Big or Go Home Question to you is, what will you do starting today to embrace your inner goofball?

Come on, get silly with me! You know you want to.

Go Big or Go Home Question: Fear, Friend or Foe

Fear (to me) was the boogey man under the bed, the one feeling that would stop me right in my tracks, the gut twisting, gut wrenching emotion that had the strongest vise grip in the whole world... until just recently. I was working with a client when it hit me like a 2x4 in the middle of the eyes; why not treat fear like an old friend that we are out growing? Instead of , which only makes it scream back louder, why not think of the good things we can take away from it; the lessons learned or awareness created?

So here's your Go Big or Go Home question; consider one fear that you have and ask yourself, "What's at least one good thing I can take away from this fear?"

Once you have done that (and this may sound silly, but it helps) write your fear a little letter thanking it for the positive take away. In that letter be sure to let your fear know that you are releasing it and moving on from it. Once you have completed your letter you are then free to burn it, shred it, flush it down the toilet, whatever action is going to help you let go of it.

I think you will be surprised at the results.

Happy Fear Releasing!

Go Big Or Go Home Question: Strong Sense of Self

When I was pregnant with my son one of the things I said most often was, "If I can give him anything, I hope to give him a good sense of self." I meant that with all my heart and soul. I did not wish for him to ever struggle with his sense of self like I did. (Although having said that, what I experienced I would experience again, as it made me the person I am today.)

So the Go Big or Go Home Question is; how do you define strong sense of self and how does one achieve it? (OK, so that was two questions rolled into one.)

I look forward to your thoughts.

Go Big Or Go Home Question: What Will YOU Say?

I noticed a few times this week that when I was presented with some cool opportunities resistance stuck a foot in them....more like my self saboteur, actually. She came out in full force with her little power suit, high heels, hands on hips, saying loudly, "Who are you kidding? You can't do this!"

Truth be told I actually have two self saboteurs; one I call my dream squasher (the one I just described). My dream squasher is the one who sticks her heels in the concepts of big opportunities and dreams, trying desperately to let the air out of them. She does this so I don't have to be successful.

My other self saboteur is a little girl. Why a little girl? Well, at eight years of age that is when I received the message that I was not good enough and did not deserve good things. That message manifested into a ; fear of losing anything that was important to me because I was not deserving. So when something is really important to me she will come out to remind me that the more important things I have, the more I have to lose.

The one thing I have found, the more I fight either one the louder and stronger they get. Think of a child throwing a tantrum; have you ever noticed that the less attention you give a child throwing a fit the louder they become? Same notion applies here.

Rather than fighting my self saboteurs, rather than telling them to "shut up, sit down, and leave me alone", I say, "It's OK. It's all going to be a-ok. I promise. I have everything handled and you are going to be OK." Seems to do the trick every time, because in all actuality (like children) all self saboteurs really want is to be told that everything is going to be OK; that they're really OK (that WE'RE really OK).

Now for the Go Big Go Home Question... The next time your self saboteur rears it's head, what will you say to it? What will you do to comfort it rather than fight it?

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Kicking Fear in the Backside

I once heard fear described like this:

False
Evidence
Appearing
Real

Is it false evidence that appears real? Is it something we make up in our heads? Yes, sometimes it is. Sometimes we use as a means to hide behind. Sometimes it is our best friend keeping us out of harms way. Sometimes it is our worst enemy standing in our way of going after what we want or stepping into our own greatness.

One of the keys to kicking fear in the backside is awareness so let's create some awareness right here and now with these Go Big or Go Home questions. (Wait, before you ponder the questions asked I want you to think of a fear that follows you around, one that comes up often.)

What is that fear keeping you from?
What is one thing you would be willing to do (starting today) to kick that fear in the backside?

And now for a shameless plug :::sheepish grin:::...
If you are wishing to kick fear in the backside once and for all, please join me starting July 10th for the where we will take a good hard look at fear and ways to remove it. Spaces are limited and time is running out for the early bird discount. It is my sincerest wish to support you in erradicating fear so you can have all that you desire.

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Magic Wands and Pixie Dust

Dear Blog Readers,

I wish to thank you for visiting and reading Make the Most of U. I am extremely grateful for the visits, comments, and contributions. Next month will be Make the Most of U's third birthday so its time to shake things up a bit! In order to do that, I would like the chance to get to know YOU a bit better; I want to know what makes you tick, what your heart says to you, what your values are, and what's most important to you!

Why?

First, because I truly do care about what you think and who you are. Second, I want to continue to provide content that resonants with who, what you are experiencing, and what you are wishing to create for yourselves. So with that, the Go Big or Go Home Question is....

If I was your fairygod coach and with a wave of my magic wand could grant your heart's desire, what three wishes would you make and why?

I look forward to your responses. Here's to you and to making the most of you and who you are!

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Peace and Grounded

I just realized that I have not asked a “Go Big or Go Home Question” in some time so here is a doozy for you; one that I am actually exploring myself. Beware, it's a two parter.

Who or what do I need to be to create a peaceful and grounded life? What am I willing to do to achieve peace and become more grounded and peaceful?

(Oh, and since I never ask a question, that I am not willing to answer myself, feel free to hop on over to )

Go Big or Go Home Question: Living Deeply

Just yesterday I received this awesome question in a that I subscribe to;

“What if we shifted our focus from achieving more to simply living more deeply?” -

What does it mean to you to live more deeply? What would a life lived deeply look like?

I look forward to your thoughts. (To read my response to this question, please .)

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Justifying, Clarifying, and Explaining

I received this lovely nugget courtesy of . Like most great pieces of information it stopped me in my tracks and made me think or rather question. How often have I justified, clarified, or explained myself? “Plenty o’ times” was my answer.

Then it dawned on me, if I am truly being my authentic self and if all my actions are coming from that place of authenticity (or heart), there is no need to clarify. There is no need to explain. There is no need to justify. It is when I come from that place that I am most confident.

Here is the Go Big or Go Home question (rather questions); when was the last time you felt the need to justify, clarify, or explain yourself away? Who where you being at the time?

Happy pondering and awareness creating!

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Give

A few weeks back I wrote a on my personal blog that was inspired by something I heard say. He said that we cannot give what we don't have.

Hmmm, that makes sense, doesn't it?

If you don't have time, you can't give time to someone else. If you don't have energy, you can't give energy to an activity or project.

My go big or go home question to you is this; what will you give to YOU starting today so that you will have more than enough to share?

Go Big or Go Home Questions: No, Nope, No Way, No More!

Let's face it there is not a person on this earth that does not or has not experienced an . You know the heaviness that creeps in when we are participating in or allowing something that is negative or counter-productive.

The boss that always asks for the impossible.
The friend who takes and takes without giving anything in return.
The colleague who always sees the glass as half empty.
The mess in the closet.
The dirty car.

You get the idea, right?
So here's your Go Big or Go Home Question to ponder...

What energy drain will you say "no, nope, no way, no more" to starting today?

Lightening the load and is important to not only your well-being, but your own forward movement.

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Low Battery

It is so easy to get caught in the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day grind. In doing so we often forget to take time for ourselves, to recharge our battery until it is too late and we hit a wall.

What’s ironic, when we are pushing ourselves over the limit we often think we are getting more done. In reality, not only are we not performing at our best, but most times we are not working as effectively and efficiently. (How can we when we are running on an empty battery?)

So here’s the Go Big, Go Home question…

What are you willing to do, starting today, to recharge your battery?

Remember, self care is critical to not only your well-being, but your success.

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Money Talks

I recently finished an awesome course at called Financial Independence (FI). This course helped me to fully understand what true FI is. It also created more awareness around various obstacles that stand in the way for many in creating FI.

The biggest obstacle….

I have met many people in my travels that grew up with messages around money. Some messages are supportive and wonderful and others are depleting and disempowering. It is the depleting and disempowering ones that grow into long lasting limiting beliefs, either on a conscious or sub-conscious level.

If you have ever felt that financial independence was pie in the sky or was something that happened for others but could never happen for you, I want you to consider the following question…

If money had a voice and could talk what would it say to you?

(Many thanks to our great facilitator who asked this powerful question of the class. You made us all think long and hard about our own limiting beliefs.)

I encourage you to explore any beliefs connected to what came up for you. For example, if money said..."I am not evil", what message or limiting belief have you been holding around money being evil? How can you shift that message into something limitless as opposed to limiting?

Have fun with this one!

Go Big or Go Home Questions: Life Changes

When I turned 40 my new mantra became “Go Big or Go Home!” meaning that I was going to take good risks, push my own limits, and move forward with my intentions. This new category is dedicated to going big or going home and asking those questions that will not only spur thought and sharing, but spur forward movement.

There is not a person in this world who does not wish to enhance or even change an area of their life (or several areas). Think about your life for a moment and focus on one area that you feel could stand a bit of a facelift or maybe even an overhaul.

Now for that question…

How will your life improve if that area changes? (List out all the ways it will improve if you were to change that one area.)

Over to you. :)
